Garlic-flavored croutons

Method

Put a chunk of butter into a skillet. Crush 2 cloves of garlic through a garlic press and into the skillet. Heat to melt butter and to release the garlic flavor into the butter. Cut crusts from about 4 slices of firm type bread (French bread is best). Cut into cubes. Add to skillet and fry cubes until browned on all sides and dried out. Try to keep these on hand. Frozen they keep indefinitely. If frozen, reheat in a skillet before using, or in an oven.
