These are your chicken pot pie biscuits, your “please pass the biscuits” biscuits, your tea sandwich biscuits, your fried chicken biscuits, and, of course, your go-to simple breakfast biscuits with butter and jam.
When I gave this recipe to a friend, she told me she always cuts the scraps into irregular shapes and sprinkles them with cinnamon-sugar, something she said her grandma would always do. Ever since she told me that I always make sure I do that, too.
