  • About

This cake is delicious by itself, with a cup of tea or served with strawberry jam and whipped cream. If you have any leftover pear poaching liquid, quince poaching liquid, or lemon glaze, it can be fun to use that instead of the maple syrup. Feel free to play with different fruit in this teacake, too, but lean toward the less juicy, like blackberries, grapes, figs, and cranberries, just to name a few.
