This recipe calls for a lot of berries and it’s best to use fresh ones, so please try not to curse me when you see how much it costs to make. The best thing to do is to make it at the height of summer when the berries are at their best, and cheapest. If you remember ahead of time, go to your local berry farmers at the farmers’ market and ask them to bring you seconds the next week at a cheaper price.
