There’s a great restaurant in San Francisco called Frances that makes something like this for dinner. It made me realize that savory doughnuts are fun to eat at any time of day, especially if you’re drinking a glass of Champagne or Prosecco while doing so. This is another one of those recipes that you can play with: add ham, bacon, more spice, lots more herbs, etc. And, like almost everything in this chapter, eat these hot!
