When I was in Lombok early in 1993, this satay was to be found in only a few restaurants on the tourist track. As a rule, it is served with rice and pelecing kangkung. In the neighbouring island of Bali, minced meat satay is usually called sate pentul, though they recognize the name sate pusut as well. The sate pentul of Bali is made with minced pork, and you can find it almost anywhere, especially on holy days, when there are Balinese religious ceremonies
