  • About

This is my particular favourite and, once you have the right ingredients, so quick and easy to assemble for the most delicious plate of fish you’ll ever eat.

Ingredients

  • 80 g sashimi, cut into 5 mm slices (this can be any sashimi-grade species, but of course Bluefin Tuna Toro is the hero)
  • Sliced daikon radish
  • Pickled ginge

Method

First, prepare all your ingredients. I recommend slicing the daikon radish on a Benriner mandoline. Grind the wasabi by hand 5 minutes before you want to eat for the best flavour.

Place the sashimi slices on a bed of sliced daikon radish, then arrange your sides of pickled ginger, freshly ground wasabi, and tamari sauce.

Eat and enjoy. A Sapporo Black beer is mandatory.
