Once you have made the sauces, you can easily assemble an elegant and satisfying lasagna. Although this recipe may look like a good deal of work, once the elements are in the dish, the lasagna may be refrigerated for up to a day before baking. Once baked, it also reheats successfully in a moderate oven. Use only fresh lasagna noodles; they must meld with the sauce. I find that dried ones are too leaden.
