    • About

Simple yet satisfying, this easy-to-assemble dish comes from Taranto, a lively seaside town in Apulia originally settled by the Greeks when the heel of the Italian boot was called Magna Graecia. Unlike a gatto, which layers mashed potatoes, this torta calls for sliced potatoes, like a gratin. It tastes like a pizza but without a crust.
