People say that Romeo was in love with this dish. Of course, the Veronesi would say that because this wonderful simple sauce is very typical of Verona.

This particular recipe comes from Giorgio Gioco, from the famous I Dodici Apostoli restaurant in Verona. As he is the authority on Veronese food, this must be genuine. I made it again in my kitchen and could not stop eating it either by itself or with cotechino, a type of sausage made out of minced pork
