I was in Paris eating in my favourite restaurant, L’Ami Louis, and after a delightful meal I was stunned when the waiter suggested I had a dessert which originates in Piemonte! In summer when you have super ripe peaches, turn the last glass of wine on the table into your dessert. You cut a few peach slices and soak them in the glass of wine. With a fork or spoon remove each peach slice and drink some wine with it.
