I wanted to recreate this recipe after having seen and tasted these biscuits in a very fine delicatessen in Orvieto. They are good dipped in a dessert wine, as they do locally, or simply eaten as a biscuit. Since they are made with olive oil instead of butter, they are suitable for people who cannot eat dairy products.
Put the oil, wine and sugar in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Then fold in the flour, bicarbonate of soda and spices.
