A classic Italian pudding that Ivy regulars love. They protest when it is taken off the menu. Everyone does it in almost the same way — at least, they use the same ingredients but the results are different.

Ingredients

215 g caster sugar

Method

First, place all the ingredients for the syrup in a saucepan with 100 ml water, bring it to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and leave the syrup to infuse for 10 minutes. Strain it and put to one side.
