Wrap 1 tablespoon of your favourite miso, 1 teaspoon dried wakame, 2 g (1⁄16 oz) katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) or 2 g (1⁄16 oz) dashi powder, and 1 finely chopped spring onion (scallion) in plastic wrap and take it with you in your lunchbox or on a picnic.

Scrape the miso mixture into a mug and pour in 200 ml (7 floz) hot water. Stir until the miso dissolves.

Add some ground sesame seeds. shichimi togarashi is also good to add.
