This version of Moshari Stifatho with tiny whole onions is a speciality of the Island of Corfu and was much enjoyed by the Jews who once lived there. This is the kind of easy dish that can be left simmering in the oven for hours, so it is perfect for the Shabbat evening meal. Serve it with rice, pasta, mashed potatoes or olive oil-fried potatoes.
