The Russians use potatoes for everything – when they’re not eating them, they’re making vodka with them or, as in this recipe, baking bread.

Ingredients

  • 225 g/8 oz potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 7 g packet easy-blend (rapid-rise) dried

Method

  1. Lightly grease a baking sheet. Add the potatoes to a pan of boiling water and cook until tender. Drain and reserve 150 ml/¼ pint/
