A Fragrant fruit salad, prepared with exotic fruits, is a wonderful way to end a festive meal. Fresh fruit is held in high regard in Jewish cuisine for its health-giving properties.


  • 350–400 g/12–14 oz/3–3½ cups strawberries, hulled and halved

  1. Put the strawberries and oranges into a serving bowl. Halve the passion fruit and spoon the flesh into the bowl.

  2. Pour the wine over the fruit and add sugar to taste. Toss gently and then chill until ready to serve.
