Use a standard measuring cup, not the smaller cup that comes with some rice cookers. The cooking times given here are based on the type of rice cooker available from Iranian markets. If you are using a different brand (such as a Japanese or Chinese rice cooker, not set up for making the golden crust), the timing may be different. You should experiment with yours— allowing between 70 and 90 minutes—to achieve the best results.
