Rice with green beans and tomatoes tends to be everyone’s favorite dish, children included. With everything cooked in one pot, this is a quick and easy way to make it. For a non-vegan version, simply add 1 pound ground lamb, chicken, or turkey, sautéed with the onions in step 2.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (400 g) white basmati rice
  • ½ (120 ml) cup

Method

  1. Wash the rice by placing it in a large container and covering it with water. Agitate gently with your hand, then pour off the water. Repeat 3 times until the water is no longer cloudy. Soak for 30 minutes. Drain, using a fine-mesh colander, and set aside.
