Here’s a smooth and seductive chocolate sauce that can embellish many desserts.


  • 1 cup water
  • 6 ounces high-quality bitter sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • ¾


In a small saucepan, bring the water, chocolate, and sugar to a boil over medium heat, stirring often. Cook at a brisk simmer, stirring often, until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Cool slightly and serve warm.
