Flavoured butters are the ideal accompaniment for grilled or pan-fried steaks, fish or vegetables. Butter freezes very well so you can take a slice whenever you need it.


  • 225 g (8 oz) butter
  • 5 cloves of garlic, crushed<


  • Blend all of the ingredients together in a food processor, adding a generous twist of pepper.
  • Spoon the butter on to a sheet of clingfilm, roll into a cylinder sausage shape and refrigerate or freeze until needed.
