Melt this butter over a grilled beef or lamb steak and serve with a large portion of French fries on the side.


  • 225 g (8 oz) butter
  • 1 bay leaf, crushed
  • ½


  • Put all of the ingredients into a food processor and blitz until well mixed.
  • Spoon the butter on to a sheet of clingfilm, roll into a cylindrical sausage shape and refrigerate or freeze until needed.
