THIS IS RHUBARB FOR THE HARDENED RHUBARB LOVER, STALKS OF RHUBARB DIPPED IN SUGAR AND SERVED WITH VODKA. A SOUR COMPANION FOR SUNNY DAYS, A PREDINNER DRINK, OR SOMETHING TO WAKE YOU UP AFTER A HEAVY MEAL—THE KIND OF SNACK/DRINK THAT WILL MAKE YOUR MOUTH SORE YET STILL LONGING FOR MORE.

Ingredients

  • 8 thin stalks very young rhubarb, trimmed
  • ½ cup sugar
  • cup very cold vodka

Method

Peel the rhubarb so that only the juicy interior remains.

Place the sugar in a small bowl. Dip the rhubarb in the sugar and take small bites. Clean your mouth with sips of vodka from small glasses.
