This is milder than the previous recipe, hut still imparts the special taste.
Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat and add the bread crumbs. Cook gently for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring often, until the crumbs are golden brown. Add the horseradish and stir well. Add the sugar and stir again until the ingredients are combined. Add the broth (or juice) and bring to a boil. Stir in the cream or sour cream, lower the heat, and bring to a simmer.
