A deliciously hearty and yet fresh and delicate soup that is made with heirloom herbs from my garden, namely lovage and wild garlic. This is a wonderfully fragrant concoction and the rice adds a “padding” element that is perfect for a cold winter’s day.
NB: If you don’t have access to fresh lovage, then you can use dried lovage. If you cannot access lovage at all, then add celery seeds to the soup – most commercial celery seeds are in fact lovage seeds, so you will get a whiff and t
