I’m not sure if this actually is our Amah’s recipe, or if it is Mum’s, but either way, I'm sure our Amah shared this recipe with Mum when she was with us, as she used to cook this for us sometimes, although Mum did most of the cooking at home in Hong Kong. It’s a simple recipe and is one of my family’s favourites. You can switch the fish for chicken if you wish, but it’s the fish version that we all prefer. Ah Yueng lived with us when we were in Hong Kong during the late 60’s and early 70’s
