Bobotie – South African Curried Shepherd’s Pie

This is probably regarded as one of South Africa’s most popular national dishes, and it’s one of my family’s favourite dishes, especially when enjoyed during the colder months. Essentially, it’s a curried Cottage Pie, but without the mashed potato and with a savoury custard topping instead, maybe more akin to moussaka.
