An easy, open-faced fresh fruit tart that is quick and easy to make and uses a minimum of ingredients. You can use apples, pears or a variety of plums when in season, such as Mirabelle plums, Victoria plums, damsons or greengages. This tart also works well when made with fresh figs and puff pastry.

  • 225 g homemade shortcrust pastry, or ready rolled shortcrust pastry
