I love having a row of bottles of oils with herbs and things dropped into them. Apart from how they look, they add depth to a salad dressing or anything that might need a splash of oil.
You can top up the oil when necessary and add extra flavourings. Just make sure the flavourings are covered with the oil. You will need a bottle with a spouted cork on top for drizzling.
Things that flavour oils nicely are garlic, chillies, fresh herbs, spices such as pink, black or green peppercorns, and even flowers like lavender and rose.
Choose an oil that is not too heavy or strong, as this could mask or clash with the flavourings added.
