Hobo Salad Sandwich

Hobo salad is traditionally made with baloney or ham. It was considered a cheap way to stretch a meal, and that is probably how it gained its name. Some folks may call it “poor man’s salad.” No matter what you call it, it has earned its place in Southern culture and deserves to be recognized as an honest-to-good sandwich. This is a traditional recipe, but y’all can give it a twist by adding whatever deli meat and ingredients you have on hand.
