Growin’ up, I don’t remember a church potluck that didn’t have corn puddin’ galore. Honey, it was a badge of honor for whoever’s corn puddin’ was gone first. A good corn puddin’ recipe is a must for anybody wantin’ to have a true Southern, comfort-food spread. I’ve given my corn puddin’ a twist with a kick of chiles and cayenne.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
  • cup honey

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 9x13 baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, butter, honey, heavy cream, and cornstarch. Whisk ingredients until there are no lumps of cornstarch.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, and stir to combine
