Bourbon-Cherry Mousse Jars

Cherries were not somethin’ we had on the farm, but we were lucky enough to have folks bring us some ever’ now and then. Of course, Granny was gonna whip ’em up in a sweet and tart cherry pie. As I got older, I preferred my cherries on cheesecake. One of my favorite twists on cheesecake is to put it in a jar, and of course, my favorite twist on ever’thing is bourbon. So, a double twist just seemed the right thing to do: cheesecake and bourbon in a jar.
