New-South ’Nanner Puddin’ Trifle

Traditional ’nanner puddin’ is a Southern-dessert staple. Y’all won’t see a church potluck or a family dinner without it. It seems to be a trend for folks to put their own twist on this much-adored Southern treat, and, of course, I’m nothin’ if not trendy. My ’nanner puddin’ twist is to give it a li’l tang with sour cream, add a sweet crunch with vanilla sandwich cookies, and layer all that traditional ’nanner puddin’ goodness into a gorgeous trifle.
