If I had to guess what the majority of potatoes are used for in the United States, I’d first guess french fries, obviously, but I’d guess mashed potatoes second. People eat them with pretty much everything, and with good reason.
Since your potatoes are already cooked, mashed potatoes is just a matter of ditching the skins (or, better yet, making potato skins out of them). After you have the flesh out, it takes just a few minutes to make some really good, homemade mashed potatoes.
