We always had fish and chips on a Saturday lunch time when I was growing up. My Mum always made this. I find it unimaginable to eat fish and chips without it.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium tomato
  • ¼ red onion
  • 8 baby gherkins (see tips)

Method

  1. Chop the tomatoes finely and drain in a sieve.
  2. Chop the onion and gherkins very finely, and the capers if they are large.
  3. Mix together with the mayonnaise and serve.
