Having perfected our recipe for baked beans (American style) to use as a side dish, they were so popular that we developed this main course using the same ingredients. Sticky, sweet and very yummy, this pork dish is a big hit with all the family and it is great as a stew for large numbers.

Method

Follow the method to cook the onion base in a large saucepan. Remove from the pan and set aside. Add the vegetable oil to the saucepan and turn the heat up. When hot, brown the pork steaks on both sides, then place them in the roasting tin.
