Spinach and nutmeg are traditional bedfellows. This is an excellent mash when you want something green on the plate.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled
  • salt
  • 100 g frozen spinach
  • good pinch

Method

  1. Follow the basic mash recipe.
  2. Meanwhile, put the frozen spinach and nutmeg into a mixing bowl, cover with cling film, pierce and cook at full power in a microwave for 4 minutes. The spinach should be piping hot. Put into a sieve and press down with a saucer to drain well.
