Leek and Potato Soup

This, if I am pushed to choose a favourite soup above all others, would have to come top of my list. I love it in all its different ways of making – cold and velvety-smooth in the hot summer evenings, with snipped chives stirred through, or hot and smooth on chilly evenings, or, as in this case, half smooth and half chunky, which I think makes it perfect supper food.
