Shellfish and bacon go well together. This pâté is very quick and easy to make, and is heavenly to eat. We get huge, delicious prawns, up to 3 inches/7.5 cm long. Sometimes we get squat lobster tails, which are very good for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz/84 g cooked, shelled prawns
  • 3 rashers

Method

Chop the prawns. Fry the bacon until crisp, drain it on kitchen paper and break it into small pieces. If you have a food processor, put the cream cheese in and whiz until smooth. Otherwise put the cream cheese into a bowl and pound it until it is as smooth as possible.
