This is delicious for carnivores as well as for vegetarians. Although we can buy asparagus all year round, I much prefer to wait till it comes into our natural season to Britain. I think it tastes better.

I don’t think these asparagus parcels need potatoes or rice with them, just something like a tomato and basil salad, and perhaps roast aubergines, garlic and peppers.
