The sweetness of the turnips and onions go together very well, and they complement duck ideally.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium onions
  • 2 oz/56 g butter

Method

Skin and chop the onions. Melt the butter and heat the oil together in a casserole, add the onions and cook over a moderate heat for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the skin off the turnips, and slice them into ½-inch/1-cm dice.
