This salad, padded out with shredded lettuce, is the ace favourite choice for lunch during the summer holidays with all the members of our family. Whenever I am racking my brains and ask what shall we have for lunch, the unanimous answer is tomato, watercress and avocado salad, with the bacon dressing. I really think they would eat it every day for a week if I let them! I like to serve it with warm brown rolls, or the granary bread which we make each day for our guests here at Kinloch.
