As our family would happily choose pasta (or rice) seven days a week, this sauce turns pasta into a dish fit for a special occasion. It is invariably chosen by one or other of our offspring for a birthday supper, and it’s simplicity itself to make as well as tasting so good – all the tastes, I, too, love. All it needs to go with it is a good mixed green salad.
