This is an invaluable sauce to have stored away in a screw-topped jar in the fridge, ready to be heated up and served with all sorts of different puddings, or with ice creams, or fruit, especially pears or bananas. Chocolate sauces vary so much. The ones I abhor are those which are too milky or, worse still, watery, tasting insufficiently of chocolate, and thin and dreary in texture. You can’t say that about this one!
