This delicious sauce enhances any chocolate pudding.

Ingredients

  • ½ pint/285 ml single cream
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee granules

Method

Put the single cream and instant coffee granules together in a saucepan and heat gently. Meanwhile beat the egg yolks in a bowl, gradually adding the sugar. Sieve in the cornflour and beat all well together. Pour in a little of the coffee-flavoured cream, mix well, then pour the contents of the bowl into the saucepan.
