One of Kathy’s favorite childhood comfort foods was the vanilla sauce made by her mother, Gwendolyn Manning. Later, Kathy found a way for Hy Vong’s customers to enjoy it, too: She used it over this bread pudding, resulting in one of the restaurant’s most popular desserts. Feel free to add more raisins, if you like.
