This leafy salad is particularly good with generous amounts of dressing. When peeling the cucumber, use a serrated peeler if you have one for a prettier effect.


  • 1 bunch watercress, stemmed and chopped
  • ½ head iceberg lettuce, halved lengthwise, cored, and sliced crosswise into 2 in [5 cm] pieces


In a large bowl, toss together the watercress, lettuce, and cilantro. Divide among bowls, followed by the cucumber, avocado, and tomato. Serve with at least ½ cup [120 ml] of dressing for each larger salad
