This is the simplest tomato sauce you will ever make. It is also the best. As such, we’re going to make a lot, and you are going to store it in small containers in your fridge and or freezer.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and sliced
  • 4 x 400 g

Method

Dig out your heavy-bottomed saucepan and place it over a medium heat and warm the olive oil. Add the garlic and sizzle until you see it beginning to go golden. Immediately add the tinned tomatoes and all their tin juice. Fill one can up with water and swill this about in each can to capture any lurkers. Add this water to the pan.
