  • About

This shit will send you snooker loopy. How good is a Crunchie bar? Well, now you can make your own. Make a batch of this, break it into chunks and dip them in melted chocolate, break some and eat like that as a snack. Crush it and scatter over yoghurt or ice cream, why wouldn’t you?

Ingredients

  • 375 g caster sugar
  • 125 ml water
  • 225 g<

Method

Remember there is nothing on earth worse than being burned by molten sugar.

Before you start, line a high-sided baking tray with greaseproof paper, stuck down with tiny bit of oil and leave to one side.

Place the sugar, water and syrup in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over a high heat. Do not stir it, but swill it around to dissolve and then watch as it darkens and becomes a caramel
