as a snackEasy

These moreish little bites are a great snack to serve with drinks and they are fantastic sprinkled over a salad as a crunchy topping. They are made with the classic Bengali spice blend, panch phoron, which is easily sourced in Asian grocers or the spice aisle of larger supermarkets. Panch phoron is an aromatic blend of five whole spices – fenugreek, cumin, nigella, fennel and black mustard seeds – and brings a lovely crunch to this dish as well as a punchy flavour.
